Mobile Tyre Repair in Fleet
Picked up a nail on the school run, or found the car sitting flat on the drive? We come to you, check whether the tyre can be safely repaired, and sort it on the spot.
Monday to Saturday, 08:00 till 18:00. Tell us your postcode and we will tell you how soon we can be there.
Can a Punctured Tyre Be Repaired?
Often, yes. A car tyre can usually be repaired if the puncture is under 6mm, sits within the central three quarters of the tread, and the tyre has not been driven on while flat. Damage to the sidewall or shoulder cannot be repaired safely, so that tyre has to be replaced.
What to Do If You Have a Flat Tyre
Four things that decide whether this costs you a repair or a whole new tyre.
Stop somewhere safe
Off the carriageway, level ground, handbrake on, hazards on. On a motorway, get out on the passenger side, behind the barrier, and call 999.
Do not drive on it flat
A few hundred metres on a flat tyre wrecks the inner lining and turns a cheap repair into a new tyre. This is the mistake that costs people the most.
Leave the nail where it is
If there is a nail or screw in the tread, do not pull it out. It is plugging the hole and it shows us exactly where the damage is.
Call us with your postcode
We will ask what the car is, what size the tyre is and what happened, then tell you honestly when we can get to you.
Where Damage Can and Cannot Be Fixed
UK tyre repairs follow BS AU 159, the British Standard for repairing car tyres. It exists because a badly placed repair can fail at speed. We work to it on every job, and it is why we sometimes have to tell people their tyre cannot be saved.

Call 01252 622200How a Mobile Puncture Repair Works
Not a squirt of sealant and a wave goodbye. The wheel comes off and the tyre comes off the rim.
We find the leak
Wheel off, tyre off the rim, inspected inside and out. Plenty of slow punctures turn out to be a corroded rim or a perished valve rather than a nail.
We check it against the standard
Position, size and internal condition, measured against BS AU 159. If it fails on any of them it is a replacement, and we will tell you there and then.
A proper combination repair
The hole is cleaned and reamed, then a combined plug and patch unit is fitted from the inside, sealing the hole and the inner liner together. An external plug on its own is not a permanent repair.
Refitted, balanced, rechecked
Tyre back on, wheel balanced, valve renewed, torqued to your car's figure and pressures set. We check it is holding before we leave.
Repair or Replace?
What we would usually recommend, and why.
| The problemYour situation | Our answerWhat we would usually do |
|---|---|
| Nail in the middle of the tread, plenty of tread left | Repair Textbook case, straight inside the repair zone. |
| Slow puncture, losing a few PSI a week | Find it first As often as not it is the valve or a corroded alloy rim, not a puncture at all. |
| Bulge or lump in the sidewall | Replace That is internal structural damage. It will fail, and usually at speed. |
| You drove home on it flat | Replace The inner lining will be destroyed even if the outside looks fine. |
| Tyre down to about 2mm and punctured | Usually replace Paying to repair a tyre that is nearly finished rarely makes sense. |
| One tyre gone, the other three nearly worn | Talk to us Matching tyres across an axle matters more than most people realise. |
If it turns into a replacement, we carry common sizes in the van and can usually fit the same visit.
Puncture Repairs Across Fleet and North Hampshire

Towns We Cover
Where We Can Work
We need level ground and enough room to work safely beside the car. If you are not sure the spot will do, describe it on the phone and we will tell you.
Run Flats, TPMS and Awkward Wheels
The cases that catch people out.
Run flat tyres
Run flats can sometimes be repaired, but only if they have not actually been driven on while deflated. Most that have been run flat are scrap. We check the inside before deciding.
TPMS valve replacement
Cars with tyre pressure monitoring need the sensor handled carefully and the valve service kit renewed whenever the tyre comes off. We carry kits for common fitments.
Low profile and big alloys
18, 19 and 20 inch wheels need care to avoid marking the rim. The van's changer is set up for them, so a nice set of alloys is not a reason to avoid a mobile repair.
Van and 4x4 tyres
Heavier construction and different repair limits to a car tyre. Same British Standard, different tooling, and we carry both.
Slow punctures you cannot find
Half of these are not punctures at all. Corroded alloy rims and old valves leak quietly, and the only way to find it is with the tyre off the wheel.
Locking wheel nut key lost?
We can remove locking wheel nuts without damaging the wheel, then supply a replacement set so you are not stuck next time.
What It Costs and How Long It Takes
A mobile puncture repair usually takes around 30 to 40 minutes once we are with you. The price covers removing the wheel, the inspection, the repair itself, rebalancing, a new valve and VAT.
